Job Description

As our lead DevOps Engineer, you will ensure that all Retention Science services run smoothly and scale. You will own all of Retention Science’s production systems. You will work closely with all engineering and data science teams to ensure that our system scales as new features are deployed and ensure that security and reliability are never compromised. Primary responsibilities include ensuring stable development, staging, QA, and production environments, and implementing infrastructure improvements. This entails developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing open source and custom-built software. Initiatives will include continuous integration, automated deployment, application reliability, disaster recovery, and cloud management.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and maintain virtualized infrastructures (servers, networks, firewalls) built on AWS
  • Develop (and automate) standard operating procedures around common failure scenarios (e.g. scripted/automated rollback, failovers, escalation procedures)
